Brainwashed Dogs rises up as a musical alternative that reclaims rock in its deepest esence, borrowing elements from 70's british rock, progressive rock, and the Seattle sound of the 90's, to give as a result one explosive mixture of rock with "balls". A solid sound, a statement that confirms that rock is not dead, but kidnapped by mediocre subgenres. The project has its roots back in 2001 with the work of Julian Strada (lead guitar) and some of his friends to bring back classic rock elements like structured songs, guitar solos and awesome vocals to the contemporary scene. Through out the past 4 years, the band has changed its lineup a couple of times until october of 2005 when it reaches its definitive line up with: Ricardo Rodriguez on drums, Carlos Guzman on bass, and Julian Strada on lead guitar, vocals and arrangements. Juan Diego Moreno has just been recurited as the new lead singer of the band, replacing Julian on the front. Right now the band is promoting their first album including 9 original songs. This eponymous album will be followed by a nationwide tour starting in fall of 2006.
